In 2008, Matt and business partner Jake Taylor opened the Bukaty Companies – Beckett & Taylor Agency in Columbia, Missouri. Their shared vision is to assist central and southern Missouri businesses with their insurance and risk management needs. A lifelong resident of the area, Matt attended the University of Missouri, Columbia, graduating with a degree in political science. Upon graduation Matt enrolled in an officer program with the U.S. Marine Corps and attended flight school in Pensacola, Florida. After a successful nine-year career as an aviator with the Marine Corps, Matt focused his energies on building a career in the insurance industry. Matt’s attention to detail and commitment to service have allowed him to build strong client relationships.

After eight years in the insurance business, Jake and business partner, Matt Beckett, formed Bukaty Companies - Beckett Taylor Agency with Bukaty Companies of Leawood, Kansas. Jake worked for seven years as a top producer with a local insurance broker and one year as a producer with the largest privately-owned insurance and risk management broker in the world. His diverse exposure to the insurance business and marketplace has given him a unique perspective as a fierce advocate for his clients in this business.
Jake attended University of Missouri-Columbia, graduating with a degree in Agriculture Systems management and minor in Agriculture Economics.

Gerrit joined Bukaty Companies’ Beckett & Taylor Agency in 2010. He brings to the team, experience in group health and welfare, life, disability and individual voluntary products.
As a benefits consultant, Gerrit meets with prospects to assess their unique needs and financial objectives of their employee benefits program. He believes in working with the client closely from obtaining a census, to the underwriting process, and plan implementation, all while providing excellent customer service through the entire process.
Previously Gerrit served as an account executive with a Fortune 500 disability, group life, and long-term care firm.
Gerrit is a member of the Employee Benefit Professionals Association and is a licensed health/life agent in Kansas, Missouri, Iowa, and Nebraska. He has a bachelors of science from Northwest Missouri State University where he enjoyed a career as a college football player.

Karley joined Bukaty Companies Property & Casualty division with more than seven years of experience in the insurance industry. As a dedicated account manager for Bukaty Companies Beckett & Taylor Agency, Karley is responsible for all aspects of client services from implementation to renewals. Her previous industry experience has allowed her to seamlessly transition to Bukaty Companies.
Karley received a bachelor’s of science in criminal justice from Missouri Western State University. She is a licensed property and casualty agent and is in the process of obtaining the Certified Insurance Service Representative (CISR) designation.

Melissa joined Bukaty Companies with more than 10 years of financial and accounting experience. Melissa initially served as a payroll processor within Bukaty; however, she has since transitioned to an account coordinator within the Employee Benefits division. She is responsible for running new business quotes as well as renewal quotes for health, life, disability and other ancillary products.
Additionally, she assists clients with day-to-day administrative and service issues concerning claims, billing, ID card requests, enrollment issues and employee terminations.
Previously Melissa served as an assistant accounting manager at a mid-sized law firm where she managed the payroll and accounts payable division. She received a master of arts from the University of Missouri – Kansas City, where she was an adjunct professor.
